2027 AE Leadership Academy Open for Registration

The 2027 AE Leadership Academy, a program designed exclusively for Realtor® association staff and executives who want to grow and develop progressive associations in the rapidly changing real estate world, has opened for registration. Through innovative learning and peer collaboration, executives and emerging leaders are equipped to lead with confidence, drive innovation, and build dynamic, high-performing organizations.
The AE Leadership Academy, modernized and strengthened by T3 Sixty, is a 10-month program that runs from March through November. It consists of eight two-hour classes taught by a team of former AEs and experienced AE consultants; six are virtual and two are held in person at the National Association of Realtors® Legislative Meetings and NAR NXT.
“Dynamic associations need strong and knowledgeable people leading them, and too often talented staff is faced with unknown challenges they’ve never experienced before,” said Katie Shotts, senior vice president of organized real estate consulting at T3 Sixty. “This leadership program provides association executives the practical skills and the confidence to excel in their leadership roles, so they can grow their own careers and better serve their members.”
The curriculum moves through the full arc of leadership during the year:
Understanding leadership: the difference between leading and managing, delegation and finding time to develop strategic foresight
Leadership courage: leading with transparency, making tough decisions with conviction and leveraging a trusted peer network for perspective and support.
Financial leadership: mastering budgets and financial statements, understanding P&L performance and aligning resources with strategic priorities
Leadership style and brand: defining how you lead (in person at the NAR Legislative Meetings, Washington, D.C. in 2027)
Communications and crisis leadership: communicating with clarity and alignment through consistent communication, transparency and composure when challenges arise
Leading people: building the right team, developing talent and creating a high-performance culture
Vision, strategy and culture: setting a clear direction, communicating with purpose, aligning people and managing expectations with clarity and consistency
Leading change: navigating the human side of change, building resilience and accelerating organizational transformation (in person at NAR NXT, San Diego in 2027)
Program participants also receive complimentary subscriptions to Real Estate News and T3 Trends, plus access to an alumni network that enables executives to build a support group of like-minded association executives for ongoing brainstorming.
Applications are now open for the 2027 program.
