The overall 2019 Swanepoel Power 200 (SP200) ranks the most powerful leaders in the residential real estate brokerage industry as at December 31, 2018 with adjustments made for major announcements between aforesaid date and publication on January 15, 2019. The Top 20 Association/MLS Executives List is a subset of the main Power200 List, and acknowledges staff executives or elected officers of a Realtor association, council, board, et al. MLS organizations and other subsidiaries executives are also included here as the businesses are usually intertwined.


Robert "Bob" Goldberg
National Association of Realtors

Since taking the NAR reins, Goldberg has engineered a corporate realignment with a goal of transforming the large, 1.3 million-member trade association into a member-centric organization. In the process, he created a Strategic Business Innovation and Technology Group to bring innovation and cost savings to Realtors through strategic partnerships.

Carter leads CRMLS, the US’s largest subscriber-based MLS, which serves over 93,000 agent members. Awarded the 2017 Peter Shuttleworth MLS Executive Award of Excellence, Carter is the most powerful and influential MLS executive in the country.

Malkasian leads NAR’s team of lobbyists and legislative and regulatory policy analysts.
