Bright MLS, the nation’s second largest multiple listing service, which serves over 100,000 subscribers in the Mid-Atlantic region, has embarked on several bold initiatives in 2022 to help chart an expansive future for itself and other MLSs.
The MLS, in partnership with the nation’s largest MLS CRMLS, announced REdistribute in July 2022. The initiative is designed to aggregate, distribute and sell data on behalf of participating MLS organizations and brokerages to institutions involved with the housing industry including government-sponsored entities, mortgage lenders and insurance companies. It expects to launch in January 2023 with approximately 50 percent of the listings in the US.
In addition, Bright MLS has led a new initiative, Nestfully, a national consumer-facing real estate portal fed by MLS data and owned by brokers and MLSs.
