After spending 30 years in the real estate industry, you get to know people. And since I’ve been asked this question by many of you in the past few months, I thought I’d explain it here.
In February, I made the leap from independent MLS consultant to working with Stefan Swanepoel and Jack Miller as president of the newly formed T3 MLS, a division of T3 Sixty real estate consulting services.
I’ve been asked, “Why did you make the move?” In a word: TEAM!
Stefan, Jack and I have each spent decades helping to transform organized real estate, but so much work still needs to be done. If we work as a team, we stand a much better chance of making a difference.
It’s been a whirlwind of activity since I joined T3 Sixty a little over 60 days ago, and the combined strength of our team’s research, thought-leadership, technology, vision and events is very exciting. We are becoming well-established as the premiere strategic management consultancy for MLSs, associations, brokers and technology service providers.
I hope you have a chance to experience some of my optimism and enthusiasm about the future of MLS by connecting with me at the T3 Summit or at NAR’s mid-year legislative meetings in Washington the week of May 15. (It’s my 33rd annual conference; clearly many of us have been around this space for quite a while and that makes us wiser, right?)

This is an exciting time for those of us who embrace change. Frankly, I find that creating new, bigger and better MLSs is the most interesting work I have done in 33 years.
I am extremely grateful to all my clients who give me the opportunity to facilitate and advise. I’m excited for them – and for those who are ready for what is to come.
Thanks for giving us the opportunity to be of service. Let the fun continue.
